Subsurface Engineering Sdn Bhd is a soil contractor company equips with geological, geophysical and geotechnical knowledge to resolve miscellaneuos engineering issues such as underground bedrock levels, soil/rock characteristic, settlement, sinkholes and etc. Leave us a message if our service meet your requirements or consult us for more details regarding the given methods. Seismic Refraction

Temporal and spatial analysis on seismic data induced by active source are used in estimating rock reserve volume for a potential quarry, bedrock overlain by weathered materials.

Multichannel Analysis of Surface Wave (MASW)

MASW first measures seismic surface waves generated from various types of seismic sources—such as sledge hammer—analyzes the propagation velocities of those surface waves, and then finally deduces shear-wave velocity (Vs) variations below the surveyed area that is most responsible for the analyzed propagation velocity pattern of surface waves.

Crosshole Seismic

It measures the P-wave and S-wave travel times in between of boreholes which equivalent in doing Donwhole Seismic and Seismic Refraction at the same time. It is useful in detecting the sinkholes/cavities, bedrock levels and insitu material physical properties.

Parallel Seismic

This method is widely used to investigate the pile length which buried underground by utilizing the seismic P-wave. The result is very promising as it shows significant difference in velocity between the end of pile and material underneath it.

Downhole Seismic

It is an onsite testing which measure the in-situ shear and compression wave velocity profiles of the soil and rock against the depth. Using these measurements as parameters, many calculation can be made of the dynamic soil and rock properties for earthquake design analyses for structures, liquefaction potential studies, site development and dynamic machine foundation designs.

Resistivity Survey

Ground/underground served as a heteregenous natural resistor against electrical current exhibited inconsistent electrical properties governed by the material's physical and chemical characteristics which are useful in prospecting bedrock, groundwater and mineral deposition

Site Investigation

Ground-truthing method including borehole drilling, SPT sampling, rock coring and bored pile coring to have an insight of the ground condition. Soil coring, a novelty in underground material sampling to recover virtually 100% of sample regardless of material types should be implement for the completeness of ground profile.

Magnetic Survey

Magnetic anomalies are more intense in iron-rich area which can be applied to detect iron-assosiate ore bodies by using a magnetometers. Further processing and interpretation can produce 3D model of shape and size of the ore bodies at given area.

Soil laboratory test

We provide all sort of engineering soil test including grain size analysis of soil(sieving & hydrometer), Proctor compaction test, 1D consolidation test, Atterberg Limit test, shrinkage factor, triaxial compression test, laboratory vane shear test, direct shear test and etc.

Microgravity Survey

Gravitational field continuosly exerting by Earth varied against the density of ground materials. By collecting, processing and analyzing the trivial differences of gravity anomalies controlled by main ground features, we could identify cavities or sinkholes and ore bodies and irregularities of bedrock.

Mapping

"A picture is worth a thousand word" is an adage befitting the advantage of a map has over a mere description. It represents, simplifies and displays complicated information including topological, geological, geomorphological and engineering properties of surficial material into a self-explanatory graphic.

Slope Stability/Landslide

Slope failure occured often due to unevaluated by qualified expert, unfavourable geological condition and unsustainable human activities. We practise practical and informative method even if it could be unconventional to obtain valueable data for the assessment and mitigation of slope stability

With Thousands of projects SSE have completed, we have broad and firm knowledge with ample hands-on experience in site investigation, geophysical survey and geological mapping that are directly deal with ground and underground materials that cover the entire Malaysia.
